- Decor and Atmosphere
The restaurant was clean and tidy and in good repair on the exterior.
Inside the decor was what I would have expected in a full-service Chinese restaurant. Everything looked attractive, eye-catching and properly maintained. - Cleanliness and Sanitation
Each table had an neatly placed menu. The restaurant was clean and I noticed all supplies were present.
During my visit I located the Health Department Inspection certificate. - Service
Esther was polite, made eye contact and smiled appropriately. Both staff members I observed on the floor were friendly and professional.
- Food
This restaurant specialized in healthy cuisine. The menu offered many selections of reduced fat, gluten-free, and low salt. They also encourage special requests. There was no additional charge for such requests.
The Orange Chicken was on evenly coated orange glaze sauce which was opaque and a light, orange color which looked fresh. The Orange Chicken dish was served at the right temperature and tasted delicate and delicious.
The Sesame Tempeh dish had lovely presentation. It looked amazing. There was a good balance of flavor, and the added sesame seeds gave it a crunch with a burst of sesame taste.
The Hot and Sour Soup was presented in a small bowl with the saucer. It was a heavy, dark and chocolate-colored soya broth with small slivers of bamboo shoots, cubes of tofu, and various types of fungi. I thought it was an excellent start to the meal.
Finally, my steamed rice was served hot and steaming. It had been thoroughly cooked and had a light flavor. - The Bottom Line
I genuinely enjoyed my dining experience at China Delight in Corvallis Oregon. I felt my business was appreciated and valued.
